Shaun Arnold

Wells Fargo has long been a community partner to Camp Fire USA. When they heard about our plans to expand the Snack Pack program last fall, word spread around the company like wildfire and the response was overwhelming…more than 200 employees signed on for an opportunity to help feed our community’s hungriest children. For this great commitment, Camp Fire nominated Wells Fargo for the United Way of the Midlands Spirit of Volunteerism. Through their dedication to Camp Fire’s Snack Pack program, Wells Fargo has shown exemplary support for volunteerism through its community service participation. As lead organizer of their involvement with the program, Shaun Arnold accepted the award from Nebraska’s First Lady, Sally Ganem.

Matthew Byerly

Matthew Byerly has dedicated himself to the kids at the Westside Middle School program.Since October of last year, Matt has volunteered his time three to four days a week. Not only does he come and give every ounce of himself to the kids that he works with, he stays until the last kid leaves. His influence on the kids goes beyond the call of a normal volunteer. Matt genuinely loves each student in the program and works hard to ensure that they are getting what they need from him as a positive role model in their lives. For his commitment to the kids at Camp Fire’s Westside Middle School program, Matt was awarded with United Way of the Midlands Outstanding Volunteer Award for an adult working with youth. Here Matt holds his award high with Michelle Zych – Community Resource Manager, Penny Parker – Executive Director, and Rachel Olive – Teen Coordinator for Westside Middle School.

Thank you to Wells Fargo, Matthew Byerly and all of the volunteers that help Camp Fire spark the light in every child we serve. For more information on how you can help, contact Michelle Zych at 397-5809 or mzych@campfireomaha.org.
