The Camp Fire USA Guild raised more than $100,000 at their annual gala “Big Red Tailgate” on September 14th.  The Camp Fire Kids Spirit Squad led a cheer that had nearly 350 fans spelling out their support for Camp Fire USA.  Tailgaters donated their winnings back to the event throughout the live auction and raffle providing a touchdown for Camp Fire’s After School and Shelter Programs.

Camp Fire is grateful to our Honorary Chairs Sharon and Pat McNeil; to Sandy Parker and Jane Pohlman for their outstanding leadership; to the Guild for its long-standing commitment to Camp Fire; and to the many corporations and individuals throughout our community who helped make the event a winner!

gamma_phi_-_french_toast.JPGMany thanks to the Pi Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta who presented the Camp Fire Board of Directors with a check for $4,455, the result of their 12th annual French Toast Feed held last spring.  Highly regarded as one of the best events on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s campus, the French Toast Feed supplied more than 820 students, parents, faculty, and alumnae with over 2,400 slices of bread during a very messy four hours.
