A Frightful Time at Mystery Manor

October 31st, 2006

Thanks to Wendy and Randy Huff of Randy Productions, ten lucky kids from Camp Fire’s Shelter Programs were able to have a frightful time at Mystery Manor. Shelter coordinator, Elizabeth Day says that the kids each went through with their adult chaperones because they were so “spooked!” A favorite among the group was a “fawn” on stilts outside of Mystery Manor that had crazy contacts in his eyes. Though many of these children have since transferred out of the shelters, each thanked Camp Fire USA profusely for allowing them to be “regular” kids, even if for just an evening.

Camp Fire USA is working with Randy Productions on other sponsorship opportunities. If you are interested in providing the children served in Camp Fire’s Shelter Program with more chances to be “regular” kids, please contact Michelle Zych at 397-5809 or mzych@campfireomaha.org.
